About PLAS FARM FROZEN YOGURT
Plas Farm was established in 1986 by David Williams, as a diversification of his dairy farm in Llanfaelog, North Wales, in response to the imposition of dairy quota regulations in 1984.
The main products offered up until the mid-1990s were chilled yogurts and speciality soft cheeses, and these were sold primarily in the local area, though eventually the soft cheeses found a loyal following in London. In 1996, Plas Farm merged with another North Wales dairy company, Denbigh Farmhouse Ices, prompting a diversification into ice cream and frozen yogurts.

Production moved to a purpose built food factory on an industrial estate in 1997, but milk from David’s herd of dairy cows was used in manufacturing until 2002. As demand grew, this became unsustainable, but Plas Farm’s background in dairy farming means there is a commitment to this day to use only British and Irish milk in its products. A focus on producing food that is healthy, high quality and has real provenance has enabled Plas Farm to become Europe’s leading frozen yogurt manufacturer, with a huge range of flavours, and a reputation for developing award-winning products.
